Robert Lee Scott Sr.

Robert Lee Scott Sr. was born Nov. 29, 1930, in Jefferson County, Fla., the first child of the late Rev. Isaiah and Alneater Hogan Scott.
Robert peacefully transitioned to be with his heavenly father on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022.
Robert enjoyed singing. He was the founder of the “Bright Light Spiritual Singers,” a group that consisted of his children and nephews. They visited various churches throughout Jefferson County and the Big Bend area. Robert was a carpenter by trade and loved gardening, where he grew some of the most beautiful flowers one could ever see.
Robert is preceded in death by his children, Robert Scott Jr. and Gwendolyn Scott Thomas. Robert is survived by his children, Timothy Scott Sr. of Monticello, Fla., Carolyn Scott Smith of Lehigh Acres, Fla., and Russel Norton (Lurlene) of Tallahassee, Fla.; grandchildren, Timothy Scott Jr., Kashon Scott, Christopher Salters, Atori Salters, Chester Scott, Gakeshia Smith and Tiffany Thomas; siblings, Willie James Scott (Dorothy) of Live Oak, Fla., Geneva Smith of Tallahassee, Fla., Lois S. Glenn of Boston, Ga., Jeraline S. Saulsberry of Tallahassee, Fla., Doris S. Jacobs (Joseph T.) of Wildwood, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Rosa Scott and Aline Johnson of Monticello, Fla.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, at Hagan & Bradwell Funeral Service, 175 N. Railroad St., and Graveside Service will be at 12 noon on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at Boland Cemetery, Boland Cemetery Rd., Lamont, Fla. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Jacobs Funeral Home LLC.
