On Saturday evening, May 16, 2020, Robert Reginald (Reg) Moore, passed away at the age of 87. He was a loving husband and fantastic father to a blended family of seven (7) children. He was survived in death by his wife, Jane, six children: Bobby Moore, Ben Moore, Jeff McDowell (Lisa), Richard McDowell (Sonia), Marcella Barnhill and Michele Brantley (Scott). In addition, he leaves 8 grandchildren, Kasey Moore, Jeffery, Melissa and Nicole McDowell, Evan McDowell, Shawn Craig, Ashley Cope Owens and Dakota Ely; plus seven great-grandchildren, and a vast number of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Bill, who died in 1979 a month and a half before his 19th birthday.
Reg was born on February 8, 1933 in Lee’s Summit, MS, to Forrest and Caroline (Harris) Moore. He received a B.S. degree from the University of Missouri in 1955 and his Bachelor of Architecture from Auburn University in 1960. He served in the Army.
He was an amazing man who thoroughly enjoyed life. He loved his family. He enjoyed his 42 years as an Architect so much he never felt it was work. After retirement, he avidly pursued his amazing artistic talent winning awards in several competitions. He loved fishing whether for bream off of his dock, in mountain streams or the open sea.
His life will be celebrated on Saturday, June 6th at 10:30 a.m. at his home at 2569 NE Cherry Lake Circle, Pinetta, FL. A fish fry will follow. If you will be able to attend, please let his niece. Karen Knox, know (850)-251-0158.
