Roger Champion honored with national Eagle Scout award

At the Suwannee River Area Council's Annual Eagle Scout Recognition Banquet on March 23, Roger Champion of Monticello, a businessman, lawyer and civic leader, was among those honored for a lifetime of community service since becoming an Eagle Scout in his youth. The prestigious NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award (NOESA) is “granted by the local council’s NESA committee to Eagle Scouts who have demonstrated outstanding achievement at the local, state or regional level. The NOESA recognizes Eagle Scouts whose efforts have made a positive impact in the community.” This national award has been given only three times to individuals in the Suwanee River
