Teachers and other school personnel are set to receive supplemental pay when they take on extra duties like mentoring a beginning teacher, sponsoring a club, coordinating a science fair, doing the yearbook or coaching a sport.
The one-time stipends and supplements approved unanimously by the Jefferson County School Board at its regular meeting on Monday, Sept. 11, range from $500 to $4,800. The total allocated for 34 academic/instructional supplements is $36,850. For 41 athletic and extracurricular roles, the total allocation is $87,600.
