School Board has new attorney

At its Regular Meeting on Monday, Oct. 9, the Jefferson County School Board voted to end its contract with the law firm of Davis, Schnitker, Reeves & Browning, P.A., effective Oct. 31, 2023. At its next meeting on Monday, Oct. 23, Superintendent Eydie Tricquet presented Attorney Tommy Reeves with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his dedicated service as the board's legal counsel for the past seven years. Later in the Oct. 23 meeting, the board members unanimously approved a new legal services contract with the law firm of Messer Caparello, effective Nov. 1, 2023.
