Bethpage Missionary Baptist Church held a very successful “Back-to-School Giveaway” on Saturday, Aug. 8.
Local students participating received a free backpack filled with school supplies and other necessities, along with a package of much-needed face masks for returning to school.
300 filled bookbags were given out by volunteers in the short time they were there.
The giveaway was drive-by only, with participants also receiving a lunch of hotdogs, chips and a cold drink.
