Second political forum draws another big crowd

The Political Forum on Thursday evening, July 18, focused on the candidates for Tax Collector and Superintendent of Schools who will be on ballots in the August Primary. The event took place in the Jefferson County Courthouse and drew nearly as large an audience as the first in this series. The courtroom was filled by 158 attendees, while 61 more people followed the streamed session live on the Facebook page of the Monticello-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, who hosted the event. As of Monday morning, July 22, the video recording posted on the site had been viewed more than 1,000 times.
