
Senate bill aims to spur modern-day rural revitalization

The Florida Senate recently unanimously approved a comprehensive set of legislative proposals spearheaded by Senator Corey Simon that aim overall at sparking a modern-day renaissance in the state’s 31 rural counties, of which Jefferson, Dixie, Madison, Suwannee and Taylor are part.
Senate Bill 110, which the Florida Senate passed on March 19, aims at multiple goals, all of which are intended to help rural communities improve in the areas of commerce, education, healthcare services and technology.
