Senior Center aims to extend its reach

There's no reason for any resident of Jefferson County over the age of 60 to be home alone when there's a wonderful place that welcomes seniors for stimulating, health-promoting, informative and social activities, plus a hot noon meal, every weekday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Transportation is available. The Jefferson Senior Citizens Center (JSCC) has been operating since 1978, and over the years the facility and its offerings have gradually expanded. Today, the beautiful brick structure has an attractive, recently remodeled interior space with an elegant entrance, spacious activity room (90-person capacity), workshop/classroom space (30-person capacity)
