Repairs at the Jefferson Senior Citizens Center (JSCC) continue at a steady pace, after flooding in April caused category 3 water damage to the facility on North Jefferson Street. A new roof was laid on in mid June, and this week Moore and Moore Flooring finished installing LVP (laminate vinyl plank) throughout the 8,000-square foot building. Where just a few months ago water-soaked carpeting was being scraped away, this week beautiful wood-finish planks are going down over a moisture barrier. Moore and Moore Flooring co-owner Robert Taylor explains that the product provides both a sound barrier and some padding to make it easier on the feet.
