Senior Center to host Grand Re-Opening

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. When severe spring storms came through our area in April, the Jefferson Senior Citizens Center suffered significant water damage. Its regular activities for local seniors came to a sudden halt as the extent of the damage was assessed. The staff were able to arrange for activities, programs and services to resume, thanks to the generosity of various local churches who opened the doors of their fellowship halls. Meanwhile, donors lined up to help with the cost of a new roof, new flooring, wall repairs, interior repainting and replacement cabinetry in the kitchen. This month the facility at 1155 N.
