Senior center welcomed AmeriCorps volunteers

Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. The Jefferson Senior Citizens Center recently welcomed support from AmeriCorps, the federal agency for national service and volunteerism. On Feb. 17 and 24, a group of 14 AmeriCorps volunteers aged 18 to 25 spent a total of eight hours at the center. During that time, they helped with environmental clean-up, office clean up, moving and arranging office furniture, playing music and entertaining games of bingo with the seniors.
