The weekend is upon us and that means many of you will have some much-needed downtime coming your way. What better way to kick back and relax than by supporting your local Monticello-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce by having fun playing in the upcoming CASINO CRUISE.
This Casino Cruise night is a fundraiser event, sponsored by Hurst Boilers, and brought on by the recent flood damage that our local chamber building incurred. By participating in the Casino Cruise, you will in fact be helping to “bail out” the chamber.
There will be:
• Six Texas Hold ‘Em tables with nine players at each table
• Roulette Table
• Blackjack Table
• Craps Table
• Money wheel
To play Texas Hold ‘Em, a $50 entrance fee will include $4,250 in chips; and for just an additional $20 you can also purchase an additional $1,000 chip.
For players wanting to play their hand at Roulette, Blackjack, Craps or the Money Wheel, the $35 playing fee will get you $200 in playing cash.
And for those that would love to come watch, but not play, the entry fee is $10.
No matter why you come, whether to play or to watch, the Chamber of Commerce will have an array of heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks for everyone to enjoy.
Prize packages will be given to the top five winners of the poker tournament and to the top overall winner of the floor games.
The Casino Cruise will be held at the Monticello Opera House, located at 185 W. Washington Street, on Friday, August 13, at 6 PM. Come early though to fix your plate and eat something before play begins (however, hors d’oeuvres will be available throughout the entire evening.)
So, mark your calendars for Friday August 13, as THE night to get out of the house, have fun, and support the Chamber of Commerce.
You can purchase your ticket in advance by visiting http://www. monticellojeffersonfl. com/things-to-do , or you can purchase your ticket at the door (remember poker seating is limited to the first 54 players.)
