On Feb. 12, 1982, Shad Robert Bowman, the son of Robin Avrett and James Bowman, made his appearance in the world.
At the prime age of 40, Shad’s life unexpectedly ended and he departed from this earthly place he called home to be with his Heavenly Father.
Although born in St. Petersburg, Fla., Shad was a resident of Monticello. He attended Jefferson County High School where he was a star baseball athlete. He loved fishing, listening to music and the Miami Hurricanes. Most of all he truly loved spending time with his children and family. Having cooked for several restaurants, Shad had a true dedicated passion for cooking. Shad had a very giving heart and took great pleasure in keeping himself busy and active.
Forever remembering his love and cherishing his fond memories are his four wonderful children, Ryan, Emily, Dana and Alyssa; his parents, Robin (Warren) Avrett and James Bowman; his siblings, Matthew Bowman, Melissa (Phillip) Harris, Tyler Bowman, Lisa Avrett, Sandy (Tony) Crago, Angela Avrett and Isaac (Michelle) Avrett; his grandparents, Robert (Madeline) Schrader and Nancy Delp; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Shad was preceded in death by his nephews Tyler Bowman, Jr. and Tavoris Tice.
