The first free medical clinic, Shepherds Hands was held at Christ Episcopal Church in Monticello on Tuesday April 5. Both patients and volunteers were well pleased.
Shepherds Hands is a free clinic for anyone who is without health insurance and whose income is up to 200 percent of the poverty level. Laboratory fees are paid by Shepherds Hands. If a patient needs a referral to a specialist the Jefferson County Department of Health will assist in finding the right placement for the patient.
The clinic is held the first Tuesday of each month at Christ Episcopal Church located at 425 North Cherry St. in Monticello. This months clinic will be held on Tuesday May 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
All services provided are confidential and free.
