Sheriff’s oversight of emergency management reaffirmed

Lazaro Aleman ECB Publishing, Inc. County officials recently reaffirmed the oversight of Emergency Management by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) for budgeting and auditing purposes. As County Attorney Heather Encinosa explained it to the Jefferson County Commission on Thursday morning, April 4, the interlocal agreement between the county and JCSO will continue the latter’s oversight of EM, but it will add procedures going forward to clarify the situation.
