Shut the door!
Our recent temperatures reminded me of how much I appreciate air conditioning. They also caused me to ponder how I survived growing up without it. Yes, air conditioning existed during my childhood, but my father considered it a waste of money, especially since those box fans fit perfectly in the window. For pennies on the -dollar specials would perfectly circulate 98-degree air, reducing the temperature to 97.5; so refreshing!
