Laura Young ECB Publishing, Inc. Spring is right around the corner, and that means it's time to gear up for all those bat-and-ball sports we enjoy in the warming outdoors. Registration for the Jefferson County Parks & Recreation program is happening now and will continue through Saturday, March 22. Teams are being formed for t-ball (for ages 4-6), machine-pitch (ages 7-9), Little League (ages 10-12), softball (girls age 9-16) and Babe Ruth (boys age 13-15). Fees are $35 for t-ball, machine-pitch and softball; and $45 for Little League and Babe Ruth. For the fee, players are supplied with their hat, shirt, pants and socks. Registration can be completed in person weekdays at the rec
