The Monticello Community Prayer Breakfast has begun its 30th year as an interdenominational gathering. Area churches began taking turns opening their fellowship hall doors for the monthly event during 1993-94. Programs, organized by Gary Wright, take place at 7 a.m. on the first Thursday of every month and feature lay speakers, music and time to pray for the sick and distressed.
