The Singles Group, a ministry of First United Methodist Church, met for lunch on Sunday, Feb. 2. They gathered at Flatwoods Cafe, in Lamont, for a meal of their choice off a menu that offers a wide selection of items, from gator to pasta to pizza.
The meeting was very well attended with about 18 like-minded people visiting and sharing their thoughts and ideas for the new meeting year.
Coordinator Pat Inmon spoke before, during and after the meal about club ideas and meeting locations. She also suggested a special meeting, to be held at the 1872 John Denham House B&B, with the idea to conduct that special meeting sometime later this month.
Single persons of any religious affiliation are invited to join this group for lunch and good, Christian fellowship. The group meets on the first Sunday of each month after Morning Church Worship Service, about 12:30 p.m. at a pre-arranged location.
Inmon may be contacted anytime at (850) 997-4568 for more information about this group and its upcoming meetings and functions.
A big thank you to past coordinator, Earlene Knight for her years of dedicated service.
