Slew of bills already proposed for legislative session

Lazaro Aleman ECB Publishing, Inc. The 2025 legislative session isn’t set to start until March 4, but already, more than 120 bills have been introduced. The bills filed so far span a wide variety of subjects, including crime, insurance, education and weather modifications. Many, if not most of the bills, will never see the light of day, dying in committees or failing otherwise to progress. Enough will make it through the process, however, to become law. Following is a brief summation of some of the filed bills. House bills are designated as HB, and Senate bills as SB. Unless otherwise specified, each of the bills is set to take effect as a state law on July 1. HB-11 would amend the
