Snook season opens Sept. 1

The recreational harvest season for snook starts Sept. 1 in most of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation's (FWC) west coast regions, including both the Panhandle and Big Bend regions. All Florida state and inland waters within each management region are included. The season is open through Nov. 30. The bag limit for both areas is one bag per person per day, and the slot limit is 28-33 inches total length. Additional information can be found at myfwc.com
