Some health department services will see increases

County officials recently renewed the annual contract between the county and the Florida Department of Health (FDOH), which allows for the continuation of public health services to local citizens.
The contract, which the Jefferson County Commission approved on Thursday, Oct. 17, pretty much duplicates the earlier contract, if with some updated fee schedules. The contract is good through Sept. 30, 2025.
Per the agreement, the county and FDOH agree that local services will be provided by the Jefferson Health Department, which is identified as the county health department (CHD). The agreement calls for the CHD to provide three levels of health services i
