The new surprise hit movie “Sound of Freedom" is a well done, well-directed and well-acted movie, but the subject content is disturbing to watch for anyone who has even an ounce of goodness, human decency or morality. The movie is primarily about one man's (serving as an agent for Homeland Security) experience to attempt to disrupt human trafficking rings, ultimately zeroing-in on a specific child trafficking ring. I predict that most Americans do not realize how much human trafficking is happening every day, and the United States of America is a huge conduit for this ongoing evil "business," mostly due to problem at our country's borders, especially our southern border. What also bothers me is that after reading and hearing about the strange but consistent problems that are happening in other theaters around the country — such as having problems with the movie getting started, air conditioning or comfort levels in the theaters being compromised, venues showing tickets "sold out" online when there was actuality many seats available, etc.
I was shocked and beyond upset with Gateway Theaters in Thomasville (GA) when my wife and I went to see this movie at a 3:30 p.m. matinee on Saturday, July 15 (2023). This show time was about two-thirds full of patrons. There were absolutely no problems with the previews and ads showing on the screen prior to the movie, but when it was time for the movie to start, there was nothing but a white screen for what seemed to be 10-15 minutes. I, along with a few other patrons, went to complain to theater workers. We were told that they were "trying to fix the problem." Also, shortly after the movie (finally) began, we started to notice that the air in the theater was not circulating. There was a problem with the AC. However, the problem was just in auditorium #5! The bathrooms, hallways, foyer, etc., all felt good and cool. I popped in briefly to one of the other auditoriums while getting a drink refill, and it was nice and cool. I complained to the staff members who were there and asked them to notify the manager. Otherwise, I would.
This has created a feeling that something very sinister may be going on when it comes to trying to show this particular film to the general public. It is a film that I believe every American adult should see (I don't recommend taking children to see it because to me it's too disturbing for children of any age to witness). Please be aware that there are groups, government entities (possibly), and who knows who and/or what, that are trying very hard to silence this film and its message. It's not a "Christian" film, per se, (although it is distributed by Christian media company Angel Studios) but is a "must-see" event. It is evident that when evil tries to stop goodness in its tracks, it is noticeably blatant, and there is something very fundamentally wrong going on in theaters across the nation. Even 20 miles from home!
