The Historic St. Phillip African Methodist Episcopal Church (AMEC), located in Monticello, Fla., cordially invites you to its 56th Annual Homecoming. The celebration will be held over two days, with services at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, and at 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 2. The esteemed and dynamic Rev. J. W. Tisdale serves as pastor.
In celebration of the 56th Homecoming, this year's theme is “A Church That's Doing Kingdom Work to the Glory of God” (John 9:4). The speaker for Saturday's very auspicious youth occasion, scheduled for 5 p.m. on July 1, entitled “Youth Explosion,” will be Minister Robert Damien Jahleel Davis, the son of Mr. Robert L. and Mrs. Jacqulyn A. Davis of Apalachicola, Fla. Minister Davis is an active member of The Love Center Churches and most recently has been appointed as Senior Pastor Designate of Dreams, Visions, Destiny Ministries of Quincy, Fla.
The illustrious speaker for the 56th Annual Homecoming Worship Service, to be held on Sunday morning, July 2, at 11 a.m., will be Dr. John Frank Green, D.Min., Executive Director of Global Witness & Ministry of The African Methodist Episcopal Church. Prior to his election as Executive Director of Global Witness & Ministry, Dr. Green served with distinction as President-Dean of Turner Theological Seminary of The Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) in Atlanta, Ga. Dr. Green previously served as the longtime, dynamic and illustrious pastor of The Historic Bethel AME Church in Tallahassee, Fla., succeeding now Senior Bishop Adam Jefferson Richardson, Jr., of the AME Church.
