Stephen Edwin Garl (Steve), 79, of Monticello, Fla., passed away on May 4, 2025.
Steve was raised in Bethel Park, Pa. He went to Bethel Park High School. He then went on to obtain his bachelor’s degree in business and master’s degree in aviation management. Steve was a retired Lt. Colonel who had served in the Air Force for 29 years. He received a Meritorious Service Medal in 1991 prior to his final station of duty in 1998. After the Air Force, Steve also worked in private and state employment until 2015. Steve was a current member of Elizabeth Baptist Church (EBC) and enjoyed being active in the choir. He liked spending time with family, traveling, going to the beach, and model railroading.
He will be missed by his family and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.
A memorial service will be held at the Tallahassee National Cemetery on May 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. All who knew and loved Steve are welcome to attend and honor his life.
