The world knows not when this virus will end. Our country longs to return to what was. We, as a people, need to be careful to what we are willing to return to. It's concerning to hear "let's return to normal". What has normal become for us? A country so divided. A government so polorized. An acceptance for greed, racism, hate and lying.
Let's not return to normal. We have a long challenging road ahead to get to the other side of this virus. As a nation, we will triumph over this, but let us learn from what this virus has exposed.
These are adverse times for all of us. I, for one, have learned through this that adversity doesn't build character...it reveals it. We need only to look at our politicians to see this; some have risen to this challenge while others have shone themselves to be shrinking violets. Look to your Church community, neighbors and family and see the real heros.
We do not know the time or season that the sun will set on this virus, but know that it will for sure. When we do, let us, as a people be better and not bitter. Let us make a new normal that is compassionate, kind, forgiving, accepting and fair to all not just a few.
Be loving, be prayerful keep your eyes and heart on God, see you on the other side of this! God bless.
