Taylor Massage, one of Monticello's newer businesses, hosted the Thursday, Jan. 16 Chamber After 5 event at its location in the Cherry Street Commons.
The Thursday evening networking event was very well attended by local business owners, employees, and other vendors, and a few interested residents.
At the social event, licensed massage therapists Laurie Taylor and Karen Kennedy spoke briefly about their new business and the future of their establishment. They invited their guests to walk about their facility and offered short massages to the attendees.
The business specializes in deep tissue massage, which has proven to relieve muscle pain, relieve stiffness and aid in stress reduction.
The business contact info for Taylor is (352) 317-4755 or lateal23@yahoo.com, for Kennedy it is (352) 246-6270 or kmkennedy1106@gmail.com; call to schedule an appointment or to receive more information about their services.
These monthly Chamber socials are meant to bring together members of the business community in a fun-filled atmosphere designed to encourage networking and interaction while enjoying light refreshments.
The members form comfortable relationships, which strengthens community bonds. It's all about people doing business with people they know.
This is just one of the ways that the Monticello - Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce promotes business. For more information about this event or Chamber membership, contact Executive Director Katrina Richardson at (850) 997-5552.
