The Oct. 3 gathering of the Monticello Community Prayer Breakfast was hosted by First Baptist Church Monticello, whose pastor, Sean Vickers, welcomed all and blessed the meal prepared by a kitchen crew from his congregation.
After enjoying eggs, sausages, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, Mike Grisham of Gideon's International led the Pledge of Allegiance and singing of “He Touched Me.” Gary Wright, who organizes the event each month, gave time for any community announcements from the audience, and then retired minister Ron Cichon led the prayers for the sick and distressed.
