A year ago, the Monticello Rotary Club initiated a program to honor military veterans with close ties to Jefferson County. With the approval of the Jefferson County Commissioners, 36 veterans were recognized with tribute banners erected around the County Courthouse. We continued the program this year by placing banners for an additional 36 honorees around the courthouse for Veteran’s Day.
