Dear Citizens of Jefferson County, The following is through my individual eyes and I speak for no other entity or person. I would like to take this opportunity to recognize the outstanding leadership of our County’s latest acquisition, our new Emergency Management Director, Mrs. Kristy Anderson. As one of the individuals who had the opportunity to work alongside Mrs. Anderson before, during and after Hurricane Helene, I cannot applaud enough our County Manager, Mrs. Shannon Metty, our Property Appraiser, Mrs. Angela Gray and our Sheriff, Mac McNeill for not just finding someone for such a vital role but finding THE person with the right qualifications, experience and leadership attribute
