The Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation, Inc., presents a merit scholarship to high school seniors attending public, private, charter or virtual high school in Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Suwannee or Wakulla counties.
The TQC celebrates the qualities of determination, perseverance, courage, self-disciple, focus and leadership on the college football field through the Biletnikoff Award, regardless of position. They also recognize and reward such qualities in their 11-county region by providing financial assistance through scholarships to deserving high school seniors.
This scholarship recognizes the students’ excellence in academic and extracurricular activities. Scholarship winners have succeeded despite physical, mental, emotional, environmental and other challenges faced. The Foundation looks at their academic achievements, character, challenges they have overcome, community activities and involvement in school.
Applicants must have an overall unweighted high school GPA of 3.0 or an overall weighted GPA of 3.25 and attend a public, private, charter or virtual school in Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Suwannee or Wakulla County. Applicants do not have to play a high school sport to qualify.
The Foundation awards fifteen scholarships yearly. Scholarship grants range from $7,500 to $14,000 per student. Scholarship winners will attend the Biletnikoff Award Banquet and Celebration on Saturday, March 9, at the Dunlap Championships Club, at the south end of Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla.
