A folktale many younger Americans have never likely heard of is the Emperor’s New Clothes. The story involves a leader whose vanity is capitalized upon by a pair of swindlers. The swindlers tell the Emperor of new clothes that are so special only intelligent people can see them. He buys into the scam, as does everyone in the kingdom- who do not want anyone to think they are stupid. Everyone that is except for one small child, who factually says the Emperor has no clothes. Despite the child’s statement, the Emperor goes on as if he were fully clothed.
The modern American version of this involves the “Emperor” of democrat politicians, their accomplices in the national media, and “social media” corporations. If you can’t see what they are selling, then you are stupid- or perhaps a domestic terrorist.
All that it takes to see what they are selling is false is to look at actual facts, but that is something in short supply these days. As an example, look at the current impeachment trial in the Senate. What is missing? That would be the judge, or in this case the Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Chief Justice Roberts correctly declined to preside over this proceeding since Mr. Trump was no longer in office. What is taking place now is a kangaroo court- one that makes a mockery of justice. Imagine getting a speeding ticket and having the court comprised of police officers- about half of whom had already said you were guilty. How about a civil suit against a plumber with a jury made up of plumbers that belong to the same plumber’s union? Yet only the “intelligent” democrat politicians and their media accomplices say that this is a valid legal proceeding. BTW, we’re spending over $67,000/day just for the senators involved for this “trial”.
It’s likewise a fact that the criminals that took place in the attack on the Capitol pre-planned it. The FBI data released thus far proves this. The planners realized a few agitators would be all it would take to spur on a “mob mentality” where people would do things they ordinarily would not.
This is of course nothing new. I recall seeing a November 2020 newscast out of Georgia that dealt with the vote count. The on-screen totals with 99 percent reporting gave Mr. Trump a lead of over 100,000 votes. Since about 5 million people voted in that state, 1% would amount to about 50,000 votes- meaning even if every single uncounted vote had been for Mr Biden, he still could not have won. What I found interesting was the news anchor explaining how the 99% was really not 99%. I had never seen an anchor explain how an election with 99% reporting where there was a sizable lead was in question until that point. A final fact about voting is that if you have 4 quarts of good oil in your engine and 1 quart that is bad, you still have 5 quarts no matter how many times you check it. Accordingly, recounting unaccountable ballots (such as those mailed in) will always return the same total and it’s impossible for an after the fact audit. As I’ve written before, we have the technology to make every vote accountable- something both the left and right should support since now both have cried foul over an election within 5 years. Like telling the Emperor his suit is invisible, it will take some effort and going against the flow to enact such a practice.
