Approximately 40 million adults are affected by an anxiety disorder at some point in their lives. One-half of people diagnosed with anxiety are also diagnosed with depression. Anxiety is a normal reaction to stress. Anxiety disorders differ from normal feelings of nervousness or anxiousness and involve excessive fear or anxiety. Here are some helpful books to read when you or someone you know is struggling with anxiety.

Louie is also the founder of the Passion Movement. Pastor Louie Giglio helps you find encouragement, hope, and strength amid any valley as you reject the enemy's voices of fear, rage, lust, insecurity, anxiety, despair, temptation, or defeat. The author examines Psalm 23 and gives the reader spiritual warfare tips. This book shows when you allow Jesus to lead the battle for your mind and heart you can find freedom.
The second book is called Anxious for Nothing: Finding Calm in A Chaotic World by Max Lucado. Max Lucado is an American author and minister at Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas. Max Lucado's New York Times bestselling book, shows you how God's everlasting peace can bring you healing. The author walks the reader through how to not let your anxiety rule your life by walking through Philippians 4:6-7. Max discusses his C.A.L.M. acronym, which stands for C- Celebrate God's Goodness, A- Ask God for Help, L- Leave Your Concerns With Him, and M- Meditate on Good Things. This book teaches you how to trust God even in times of difficulties and chaos.
The third book is called Winning the War in Your Mind: Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life by Craig Groeschel. Craig Groeschel is the founder and senior pastor of Life. Church, an American evangelical multi-site church with locations in 12 U.S. States. Craig is a New York Times bestselling author on a variety of books. The author informs the reader of how your brain works and how to rewire it, identify the lies your enemy wants you to believe, recognize and short-circuit your mental triggers for destructive thinking, see how prayer and praise will transform your mind, and develop practices that allow God's thoughts to shape your own.
