The American College Testing, otherwise known as the ACT, is a standardized test used for college admissions in the United States. The ACT originally consisted of four tests: English, mathematics, reading, and science.
All four-year colleges and universities in the U.S. accept the ACT.
There are also guaranteed scholarships students can receive based upon their ACT scores, and at certain universities, a full ride scholarship.
The average ACT score is 20.8.
If your score is 21, then you have scored higher than 50 percent of test-takers.
A score of 24 places you at the 74th percentile (better than three-fourths of test-takers).
A score of 28 places you at the 84th percentile (higher than 90 percent of test takers), and 29 places you in the 89th percentile, which is higher than 93 percent of test takers.
Jefferson Somerset is proud to announce that three of their graduating seniors have exemplary ACT scores.
Joshua Aiken and Terrance Mosley both had a composite score of 29, and Montserrat Santillan-Rodriguez had a composite score of 28.
“We are so proud of their accomplishments!” writes the school in response to these three students' above-average scoring on the ACT.
These students not only strive for excellence in their academic work, but also in their character and leadership qualities!
