In June, the Valdosta State University (VSU) faculty announced that more than 2,000 distinguished students from the school were earning a spot of recognition on the university's Spring 2020 Dean's List.
Of those many names, three students from Jefferson County were also named: Abigail Easton, Carly Joiner and Sean Vickers.
The honors of being named on the VSU Dean's List are reserved for the university's highest achieving students who exemplify excellence in the attainment of their educational goals.
To qualify for Dean's List at VSU, students must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more of their semester hours, with an institutional grade point average of 3.00 or higher.
