As this academic year ends, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the past school year. I must commend our students, teachers, support staff, administrators and members of the Jefferson County community. You have all embraced our mission to support all students, in all subjects, in all classrooms, each day, throughout these past nine months. Let me begin by recognizing a few fundamental focal points.
To our graduating seniors: We salute you for the work you have done and the obstacles you have overcome in the last thirteen years. Earning a high school diploma is a major milestone.
To our continuing students: Remain steadfast and laser focused on meeting your targets. Be accountable for your choices and always exhibit the best version of yourselves.
To all our families: Thank you for weathering the challenges with us, for your contributions to the school, and for making a positive difference for students, teachers and staff.
To the Jefferson PreK-12 teachers, support staff and school administrators: Your diligence in building positive relationships with your students and their families has allowed us to transcend the confines of the classroom walls. You have poured into our learners a wealth of knowledge that will serve them well as they continue to build necessary life skills.
To those of you promoting our district: Thank you for your commitment to Partnership. You have invested in our children’s education and given of yourselves to make us a better school district, and we are grateful for your support.
The “Tiger Pawprints” that we leave behind are prominent markings that reflect our individual character and contributions. They speak to the legacy we aspire to create. They connect us by generating a supportive school system that demonstrates our highly effective, integrated approach. An approach specifically tailored to meet the needs of our students and the Jefferson County community.
A solid education is the cornerstone of a thriving society. This is why it is vital for families and local businesses to work collaboratively and support one another. By doing so, we will ensure our students have access to high quality programs and opportunities that prepare them for brighter futures. We urge parents and guardians to tap into the educational resources readily available for summer enrichment. It is important to keep children engaged in learning during the break.
Our schools are of inordinate value to our residents. We share a common goal of high-quality education, efficient operations and tenacious service. A resilient public school district and strong neighborhoods go hand in hand, and together we will build stronger bonds that enhance our community.
Moving into the next academic year, we look forward to resuming our quest to consistently demonstrate best practices with pride. We are immensely proud of our students and their accomplishments and anticipate seeing them continue to excel in the years to come. Have a safe and eventful summer!
