Tigers advance to state in two track events

Laura Young  ECB Publishing, Inc.  The Jefferson Tigers Track Team did well at regionals on May 3 at Pine Forest High School in Pensacola, Fla., and are advancing to the state championship in two events. Head Coach Marshaun Harris reports that those competing performed above their average overall.  “While we aspire to reach our peak performances every meet,” he said, “the advancement of our athletes to the state meet fills me with immense pride and speaks to their dedication and resilience.” Jovontrez Bellamy tied for regional runner-up in the Long Jump, with a 20.65, and he is advancing to state in this event.
