The Jefferson County K-12 quest for their first win of the season came up short on Friday, Sept. 22, when they were defeated by the Dixie County High School Bears, 42-14, at Tiger Field. The Tigers fell behind 6-0 during the first quarter. The Bears outscored the Tigers 22-6 during the second quarter, despite an exciting kickoff return for a touchdown in the final minute of the first half. When the first half was finished, the Bears held a 28-6 lead. The Bears added 14 unanswered points to their total during the third period to take a 42-6 lead, heading into the final quarter.
