The Jefferson County High School Tigers continued to improve on their record on Friday, Sept. 20, when they edged the Wewahitchka High School Gators, 18-16, in Wewahitchka, Fla. With the win, the Tigers improved their record to 4-1 on the season. Lanzavian Footman was named the Offensive Player of the Week for the Tigers. Rondrick Spearman was the Defensive Player of the Week. Nicholas Perry earned the Special Teams Player of the Week. The Tigers (4-1) have a week off and are scheduled to meet the Eagles of North Florida Christian School on Friday, Oct. 4.
