The Jefferson Somerset Academy Tigers struggled on the road against the Baby Rattlers of Florida A&M High School in their contest on Friday, Sept. 27. The Tigers were defeated, 32-6, in the contest, bringing the Tigers' record to 1-5 for the season so far.
Turn-overs proved to be costly for the Tigers as they coughed up two fumbles and threw six interceptions.
Despite the defeat, the Tigers celebrated two of their players for outstanding achievement on the field.
Ju'Quan Coasey was designated as the game's star offensive player and his brother, Nyka Coasey was recognized as the Tiger's star defensive player.
The Tigers will go on the road to face the War Eagles of Wakulla High School on Friday, Oct. 4. The War Eagles have a record of 6-0 and are coming into the contest after defeating the Cougars of Godby High School, from Tallahassee, Fla., with a 35-25 final score.
Wakulla High School is located at 3237 Coastal Hwy., in Crawfordville, Fla. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
