Tillman Funeral Home personnel and management kept themselves very busy on Tuesday, March 31, with the preparation and serving of a hot meal to the Monticello community.
The free meal was a gesture of goodwill during this very distressing time of unknowing, uncertainty, sickness and unemployment due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The evening meal was shared at the MaMa T's field, located at the corner of Railroad and Madison streets in downtown Monticello.
During the event, Tillman staff made sure that everybody kept their distance and dressed properly so as to not spread the virus.
The meals were packaged in to-go bags and servers made sure that everything was kept covered and warm.
After the event, Al and Pinky Hall expressed their thanks to the public for joining them for this community meal.
