It is with great sadness that the family of Timothee Angus Barfield announce his passing on August 23, 2018 at the age of 68. He is preceded in death by his dedicated wife of 36 years, Yvonne DeVaux Barfield; father Angus Douglas Barfield and mother, Junice Ricks Barfield. Tim will forever be remembered as a loving and proud father to Justin (Stephanie) Barfield and Rebecca (Craig) Hinton. He was the admiring grandfather to three beautiful grandchildren, Winnie, Carter and Olivia. Tim is also survived by his caring sister, Julie Barfield (Bill) Terrell and nephew LT. Christopher Terrell, USN and a large extended family. Tim proudly served as a volunteer firefighter in Jefferson County. He was a founding member of the Lloyd Volunteer Fire Department and was the department's first Chief. He was committed to the betterment of the community and enjoyed volunteering as a Rotarian. Tim was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a successful entrepreneur. Tim lived out his final years in his beloved Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina where he enjoyed his cabin and time spent with close companion Faye Roddy. A memorial service to honor his life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, at Beggs Funeral Home in Monticello. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested for the Lloyd Volunteer Fire Department. Donations can be mailed in Tim's honor to 205 Oma Road, Monticello, FL 32344.
