Traffic fatality involves driver from Lamont

On Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 5:25 p.m., the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) responded to a crash at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 98 and Dice Road in Taylor County, Fla., in front of Roy Deal's Restaurant. According to the FHP press release, an 87-year old female resident of Dowling Park, Fla., sustained fatal injuries in the crash. The report states that her sedan was traveling westbound on Hwy. 98 and turned left in front of a truck tractor that was traveling eastbound on Hwy. 98 driven by a 64-year-old male resident of Lamont, Fla.
