Tri-County broadband expansion project nearing completion

Julius Hackett, Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TCEC) Chief Executive Officer, recently gave county officials an update on the status of his company’s broadband initiative, the aim of which is to provide high-speed internet connectivity to its three-county service area.
Hackett appeared before the Jefferson County Commission on Thursday morning, Aug. 1, telling the board that the co-op’s fiber-optic project was winding down in Jefferson County.
