Three Order of Golden Circle (OGC) Assemblies – Carrie White Boone (Monticello, Fla.), O. J. Chestnut (Tallahassee, Fla.) and D. J. Morgan (Quincy) – assembled in the Fellowship Hall of New Bethel A.M.E. Church in Quincy on Saturday, June 8, to recognize and honor the three Assembly Ladies who have reached their Golden Age in the Fred Alexander Grand State Assembly, OGC, PHA operating Under the Protection of the Florida Council of Deliberation Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, in the Orient of Florida.
This Golden Doves Tea was a Spring-centered, specific attire event. The host group's decorations were predicated on teas of the olden days. The Ladies wore selected style sundresses adorned with spring/summer hats and gloves.
The social gathering began with an ardent welcome for LLS, S. Jones. Protocol was established by PLLP, A. Graham. LLP, P. Powell offered a prayer and blessing of the food, after which everyone enjoyed a smorgasbord teatime meal of meatballs, miniature sausages, chicken salad-filled croissants, pasta, fruit, green salad bowls, multiple desserts, lemonade and tea.
The program continued with the Loyal Lady Rulers – T. Moore, K. Epps and M. Seabrooks – bestowing honor upon the Golden Doves with reverence of their number of years as a Golden Circle member as well as past, present, local, state office/position and other accolades. Each received distinct gifts from their individual assemblies.
Remarks from host Assembly LLR Moore and Tri-County zone coordinator Graham and Commander J. Jones ended the program.
Carrie White Boon's Golden Doves present were Loyal Lady Treasurer Carrie Howard and Past Loyal Lady State and Loyal Lady Secretary Mary Madison.
