Trial set in long dispute between county and wedding/entertainment venue

The court has set aside two days in May for a non-jury trial on the county’s 10-month-old motion seeking the imposition of a temporary injunction against the Homestead Barn, a wedding and entertainment venue operating in the Lloyd area.
In an order issued on March 26, Circuit Judge Dawn Caloca-Johnson set Wednesday, May 15, and Friday, May 17, for the non-jury trial.
The order refers the two parties to mediation to work out their differences if possible and so avoid the costs of a trial, setting a deadline of April for the conclusion of any mediation. The order also sets a conference on May 3 for discussion of a possible settlement between the two p
