Truck stop proposed for near I-10/U.S. 19 Interchange

A large truck stop fueling facility is potentially coming to the corner of U.S. 19 and Nash Road, just south of the I-10 interchange.
An application to that effect, at least, has been filed with the Jefferson County Planning Department. As of last week, however, the application remained on hold, pending further requested information from the applicant.
Meanwhile, the Monticello City Council on Sept. 5 authorized City Manager Seth Lawless to provide city sewer and water service to the facility should it come to the location.
