Trump wins presidential primary locally and statewide

Tuesday’s Presidential Preference Primary (PPP), which was limited to Republicans, resulted in no surprises here, with Donald Trump garnering the overwhelming majority of the 1,156 total votes cast locally, or 999 votes, 86.42 percent of the total.
The only thing noteworthy about the nominally uncontested nomination was the 157 votes cast either in protest or ignorance for the six other Republican candidates listed on the ballot, all of whom had dropped out of the race.
