Two-vehicle crash injures seven

Jefferson County Fire Rescue (JCFR) was dispatched at 12:50 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, to assist at a crash scene on Interstate 10 near the 236 mile marker in Madison County. Monticello volunteer Dan Pruitt also responded by bringing an additional ambulance to the scene.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash involved two vehicles and sent seven people to the hospital with serious and critical injuries. The report states that a sedan, driven by a 48-year-old Santa Monica, Calif., man was traveling westbound on the interstate when he lost control of the vehicle and crossed over the median into the eastbound
